Akhisar Ring Road
The Akhisar Ring Road, covering a total length of 13.1 kilometers, has been constructed to address the transportation needs of Akhisar, a city with heavy transit and urban traffic loads. It is a 2x2 lane road built to bituminous hot mix asphalt standards.
With the completion of this bypass, the traffic congestion in Akhisar's city center has been alleviated, improving transportation standards. The Akhisar Ring Road effectively separates transit traffic from urban traffic, ensuring uninterrupted flow for transit traffic.
As a result of the Akhisar Ring Road, the city center transit time has been reduced from 12 minutes to 7 minutes. This has eliminated the stop-and-go waiting times associated with traffic signals, significantly reducing exhaust emissions in the city center.
