Ayvacık-Küçükkuyu Road
The Ayvacık-Küçükkuyu Road project is 9.6 kilometers long and features 2x2 lanes with a bituminous hot mix pavement. The project includes two double-tube tunnels with a total length of 5,710 meters.
With the implementation of the project, the road connectivity in the Çanakkale - İzmir and Çanakkale - Balıkesir routes has been improved. The construction of tunnels addresses the traffic congestion during the summer and weather-related issues in the winter in the Kaz Mountains. The project has elevated the physical and geometric standards of the road, enhancing traffic safety and driving comfort along the route.
The opening of the road and tunnels has reduced the existing 12.1 km road by 2.5 km, bringing it down to 9.6 km, and decreased the travel time from 35 minutes to 7 minutes.
