Türkiye's motorway network has experienced significant growth over the years. The motorway network, which was 1,714 km before 2003, has reached 3,633 km with the addition of 1,919 km built in the last 20 years. Of this motorway network, 2,282 km were constructed with national budget funding, while 1,351 km were built using the Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) financing model.
With the implementation of motorway projects aimed at Public-Private Partnership and the Build-Operate-Transfer financing model, Turkey's highway network is expected to reach 3,726 km in 2023, 3,834 km in 2024, and 3,886 km in 2025.
