Ağın Bridge
Ağın Bridge, which was opened to traffic on February 18, 2017, is located at the 12th kilometer of the Elazığ-Arapgir Junction-Ağın Provincial Road. The bridge is 13 meters wide, 520 meters long, and constructed as a 2x1 lane cable-stayed bridge.
Ağın Bridge facilitates uninterrupted and cost-effective transportation for road users and the local residents by reestablishing the road connection between Elazığ and Ağın district, which had been submerged under the waters of the Keban Dam or accessed via a ferry or through Arapgir.
With the opening of the bridge, traffic flow on the 83-kilometer Elazığ-Ağın Road is no longer interrupted by the need for a ferry. This not only prevents time loss caused by ferry waiting but also eliminates the use of the 127-kilometer Elazığ-Arapgir-Ağın Highway for the region's residents who prefer road travel over the ferry, resulting in a 44-kilometer reduction in the travel distance.
