The Altınşehir (Adıyaman University) Bridge Junction
The Altınşehir (Adıyaman University) Bridge Junction was constructed to ease the urban and transit traffic congestion in Adıyaman, which is an important crossroads between cities like Gaziantep, Malatya, Kahramanmaraş, and Şanlıurfa.
The Bridge Junction is located on the Gölbaşı-Adıyaman State Road, with a total length of 1,410 meters and a divided road standard of 2x2 lanes. It serves as an underpass connecting the Altınşehir settlement and the city center.
By relieving traffic volume in Adıyaman, which is of great importance for both domestic and international tourism, this project provides road users with a safer and more comfortable transportation option.
With the opening of the Bridge Junction, the travel time in this section has been reduced from 5 minutes to 1.5 minutes.
