Project Detail

Ankara-Kahramankazan Road | Saray, Aydın, and Yazıbeyli Junctions

The recent industrialization efforts in Kahramankazan district and the establishment of the Ankara Logistics Base in the region, along with the impact of day-trip travel, have led to traffic congestion. To alleviate this and effectively meet Ankara's import, export, transit, and internal logistics needs, expansion works on the Ankara-Kahramankazan Road have been initiated.

The 28.4 km section of the Ankara-Kahramankazan State Road has been redesigned with a 2x3 lane bituminous hot mix (BSK) surface divided road standard. It starts from the Ankara Ring Road, passes through Kahramankazan district center, and ends in the Fatih Neighborhood.

As part of the project that includes the construction of 10 different-level and 2 level crossings, the 152 m-long Saray, 122 m-long Aydın, and 122 m-long Yazıbeyli Interchange Bridges, along with a 4.1 km-long 2x3 lane road section, were completed and opened for service on September 9, 2021.

By raising the standard of this heavily trafficked route, the risk of accidents due to traffic congestion at residential area crossings and intersections has been eliminated. Additionally, the secondary road connection points have been made suitable for transit passage through the construction of overpass bridges.

With the completion of lane additions and intersection arrangements in the 28.4 km project, traffic congestion along the route will be relieved, safe transportation will be established, and delays in transit traffic passing through the region will be eliminated.
