Beyoğlu - Kasımpaşa Tunnel
The Beyoğlu - Kasımpaşa Tunnel, consisting of two tubes with lengths of 1316 meters and 1234 meters, was opened to service on January 27, 2018.
The tunnel was constructed between Sütlüce and Kasımpaşa with the aim of solving traffic issues and congestion on the route to Kasımpaşa, Karaköy, and the areas beyond as part of the 1st Ring Road.
With the opening of the tunnel, travel times to Taksim and the 1st Ring Road have been reduced, making a significant contribution to tourism and socio-economic activity in the Haliç and Galata areas.
